Tanguar Haor is natural environment is more beautiful than any other wetland in Bangladesh. Tanguar Haor is one of the largest Waterfronts in Bangladesh. It is located in Tangua Haor, Dharmapasha and Taharpur Upazilas of Sunamganj district of Bangladesh. The Haor is the second largest sweet water wetland in Bangladesh, covering an area of around 100 square kilometers. It is the second Ramsagar of Bangladesh, the first is the Sundarbans. There are thousands of rhymes and several fountains of Tanguar Haor water sources in the vast and wide mountains of Meghalaya. Khasiya of Meghalaya in India, a huge habitat of Tanguar’s Haor fishes, birds, and other aquatic animals, festively decorated with rows in the foothills of the Jaintia hills, is beautifully decorated with birds. More than 30 fountains from the Meghalaya hills have come in this Haor. The area of Tanguar Haor with 51 bills and 88 villages has increased in the rainy season and decreased in the country. Tanguar Haor is rich in the natural environment. A Haor is not the only place to preserve and retain a waterfall or fish. This is a Mother Fishery.

In addition to Haor, the natural scenery of Meghalaya is one of the most beautiful and beautiful scenes. Due to the effective and sustainable measures taken by the district administration, this Haor is presently covered with large 141 species of 208 species of birds, 1 species of amphibians, 34 species of reptiles, 6 species of turtles, 7 species of lizards and 21 species of snakes. In the winter season, all records of the past were broken and Tanguar Haor was flowing into the wider bird’s place. The two largest bird sanctuaries of the Tanguar’s Haor are the Leucreamara and the swamp Beriberi. Sundar Bill Elephant Gota in the middle of Tanguar Haor. There are many swamps around it. It is estimated that 20/25 lakh birds in Tanguar Haor were present in each of the last winter seasons. In some places, only birds have been found floating around more than a kilometer area.

How to go here?

Travel from Dhaka to Sunamganj on the way. From Sayedabad, Shyamoli transport, Hanif Enterprise, Ena transport, and Mamun transport bus goes to Sunamganj. The rent will be from 500 Tk. to 550 Tk. From Sunamganj bus stand to Sahebbazar Ghat, go to rickshaw.
In the rainy season, the city’s boat will go directly to Tanguar by adding an engine boat or a speedboat. Engine boats take 5 hours and speed boats take 2 hours. In that case, the cost of engine boat is between Taka 2,000 to Taka 2,500 / – and Speedboat costs between Taka 7,500 / – to 8,000 / -.

Where will you stay?

Private arrangements have no arrangements for the night, but 3km north of the government management can be placed at the rest house of the Tekerghat limestone mine project.
In the summer, the city’s farewell house crosses the Ghat and the motorcycle from first to the other side is to go to Sreepur Bazar / Dump Market. Rent 200 Taka From there it is possible to visit Tanguar in the rented boat. In that case, the cost of rent may be 300-400 Tk.
