National Museum of Bangladesh is the country’s premier museum located in Dhaka city. National Museum of Bangladesh, formally inaugurated on 17 November 1983, is one of the largest museums in South Asia. Dhaka Museum, formally inaugurated on 7 August 1913, was its forerunner. Bangladesh National Museum is devoted to archaeology, classical, decorative and contemporary art, history, natural history, ethnography, and world civilization. Summer (April-September) Saturday – Wednesday 10.30am to 5.30pm, and Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm).
Winter (October to March) Saturday – Wednesday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, and Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm).
The month of Ramadan: Saturday-Wednesday (9.30 am to 3 pm)

Tickets for local visitors are 20 taka
Tickets for foreign visitors (SAARC countries) are 20 taka.
Tickets for foreign visitors (excluding SAARC) are 100 taka.
